Holy Mackerel! I'm starting to hate drawing all those little fish! They take forever! (And they are indeed mackerel - based off Atlantic chub mackerel to be precise, though I may have messed up the proportions on the first of the two dorsal fins).
I also apologize for yet another page without speaking. It's hard to have such a large establishing scene like this when you only get a page once per week. In a printed book these pages however, will fly past, and I wanted to give a strong sense of place before diving into the more fantastic elements of this story. There will only be one more page without dialogue, so bear with me a little bit longer.
By the way, I think you can tell that I believe sharks truly enjoy doing what they do best
Ramblings: Reminiscing on what was not to be...
Today is also Wave Tyrant's one month anniversary. Yes, this comic has been online for a month. My grandiose launch that I had planned fizzled when unexpected technical and design issues popped up.... Also, Marjorie from Lepus Studios and I were at the Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington DC back in April when I almost all of my time was being devoured for another project. So I chose to go to one of the biggest Japanese cultural festivals over more time to prepare my webcomic. It was an easy choice and a wonderful experience, though a bit sobering in light of the recent tsunami.
Here is a picture of me and Marjorie at the Cherry Blossom Festival. It was meant to be posted during the promotional launch of Wave Tyrant that never happened. You have no idea how left out I felt when I didn't get to blog about the trip back in April!
By the way, as predicted, life happened again and I am no longer certain if it is going to be worth making another attempt to post bonus pages. The origional purpose of that was to get past the long intro, but we're almost past that point anyhow.
